Computational Understanding of Multiple Images

Esprit Reactive Long Term Research Project 21914

CUMULI was a 3 year Esprit Reactive Long Term Research project, that started in September 1996 and finished (after a 6 month extension) in February 2000. It developed new techniques for very precise 3D measurement of industrial objects and scenes from conventional images. For more details read the project summary or browse the CUMULI web pages.
The CUMULI consortium has six partners: The academic partners are all experienced research organizations. MOVI, ROBOTVIS and Lund specialize in machine vision, especially geometric and invariant-based approaches. Fraunhofer-IGD specialize in large-scale 3D modelling for computer graphics and virtual reality.

Image Systems and Imetric are European SME's supplying commercial visual measurement systems onto the world market. Imetric specialize in very precise photogrammetric measurement of static scenes, while Image Systems specialize in 3D motion estimation from moving images.
