Detection and segmentation across scales and viewpoints

Our current work extends LayoutCRF to detect and segment occluded objects across scales and viewpoints. The talk will
1) Explain why successful object recognition needs to include both a global description (e.g., bounding box, viewpoint, color) of the entire object and a local segmentation of its visible portion and
2) Briefly describe our method for achieving this.
