2006 WORKSHOP ON CATEGORY-LEVEL OBJECT RECOGNITION
September 21-23, Siracusa

Following up on the success of two earlier meeting on object recognition held in Taormina in 2003 and 2004, this workshop will focus on the current frontiers of category-level object recognition, including:

o Open challenges: nonrigid shape, texture vs shape, viewpoint and illumination effects.
o New focuses: localization, recognition within a class, scene understanding.
o Recognition in context: applications, datasets.
