Travel Grants
A very limited number of travel scholarships are available for ICCV
attendees who need financial support :
- the scholarships will provide free conference and workshop
registration and limited financial support towards travel and accommodation;
- the maximum support is likely to be in the region of 500 US
dollars, and less may be awarded depending on individual needs and budgetary
constraints;
- payment will be by an expenses claim made
to the IEEE Computer Society after the conference, and full receipts
will be required;
- priority will be given to authors presenting at the main
conference, especially if they are students or from groups with
unusually limited financial resources, and if no other author of the
paper will attend.
To apply for a scholarship, the person who usually approves your
travel requests (e.g. your supervisor, the head of your
group or department) should send an email to Andrew Zisserman (az @
robots.ox.ac.uk) by 1 September 2003 detailing :
- why the scholarship is required,
- an estimate of the costs,
- confirming your status (full time doctoral student, postdoc,
etc), and that it will not be possible for you to attend ICCV 2003
without external financial support.
For requests received by 1 September, we hope to send decisions by 7
September 2003. Requests received after 1 September will only be
considered if unspent budget remains after this initial round.
